Reading runs in a cancellable browser worker with a 15-second deadline. Lines, polygons, tracks, overlays and linked maps are excluded and reported; a partial export requires acknowledgement. Invalid point coordinates block downloading.

How do I convert KMZ to CSV for Excel?

Select your KMZ file, choose Read map and select a KML document if prompted. Review the point table, acknowledge excluded features if any, then download CSV. Use Excel’s text/CSV import to control column types.

Can I convert polygons or lines to CSV here?

This version exports point locations only. Other geometries are counted and excluded, with your acknowledgement required before partial export. Use a GIS workflow if you need vertices, WKT, paths or polygon boundaries.

Does a CSV preserve my entire Google Earth map?

No. A CSV is a table. This tool does not preserve icons, styles, images, timestamps, network-linked data or map appearance. Keep the source KML or KMZ for those features.

Are KML coordinates latitude first?

No. KML coordinate tuples use longitude, latitude and optional altitude. The CSV labels longitude and latitude separately and preserves their source number strings.

What happens to invalid coordinates?

Point rows with invalid longitude, latitude or altitude are shown with errors and block the selected document’s download. Correct the source and try again. Invalid point rows are not silently skipped.

Are my location files uploaded?

The converter processes selected files in a browser worker without uploading their contents or saving them in browser storage. Ads and other site services make separate network requests.
