Text Formatter ā Free Online Text Cleaner, Case Converter & Transform Tool. Free online text formatter with 20+ operations: clean, transform, sort, extract, and encode text in one click. Convert case, remove duplicates, extract URLs ā 100% private, offline.
Our free online text formatter gives you 20+ powerful text operations in a single, instant tool. Paste any text on the left, choose an operation, and your formatted result appears immediately ā no page reloads, no account required.
Cleanup operations include removing blank lines, trimming whitespace, normalizing spaces, removing duplicates, and stripping punctuation.
Case conversion covers UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, camelCase, snake_case, and kebab-case ā making it a complete text case converter for developers and writers alike.
All processing happens entirely in your browser, so your content is never sent to any server.
Beyond basic cleanup, this text transform tool handles sorting (AāZ, ZāA, by length), data extraction (pull out all URLs, emails, or numbers from a block of text), and encoding (Base64 encode and decode).
The built-in character, word, and line counter updates live as you type, giving you instant stats without switching tools.
Use the "ā Use as input" button to chain multiple operations together ā for example, convert to lowercase, then sort lines, then remove duplicates. It works on plain text, code, CSV data, log files, and any other text format.
There is no file size limit and no processing delay for typical inputs.
This online text cleaner is ideal for developers normalizing variable names, data analysts cleaning CSV or log output, writers standardizing manuscript formatting, and anyone who works with messy copy-pasted text.
Unlike a simple find-and-replace, the formatter applies structural rules ā making it far faster for repetitive cleanup tasks. It focuses on plain-text structural transformations; it does not produce bold, italic or other styled Unicode text.
Bookmark it as your go-to format text online utility ā it loads instantly, works offline, and respects your privacy completely.
Frequently asked questions
How do I use this text formatter?
Paste your text into the Input box and click any operation button. The result is written to the Output box, where you can edit it, copy it with the copy button, or click Use as input to move it back into Input and apply another operation. The Characters, Words and Lines counters describe the Input text.
Which operations are available?
21 buttons in five groups. Cleanup: remove blank lines, trim all lines, normalize whitespace, remove duplicates, remove punctuation. Transform: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, camelCase, snake_case, kebab-case, reverse text, reverse lines. Sort: A to Z, Z to A, by length. Extract: URLs, emails, numbers. Encode: Base64 encode and decode.
How do I remove duplicate lines or blank lines?
Click Remove duplicates to keep only the first occurrence of each line (the match is exact and case-sensitive), or Remove blank lines to delete empty and whitespace-only lines. To do both, run one, click Use as input, then run the other.
How do I extract emails or URLs from text?
Paste the text and click Extract emails or Extract URLs. Each match is listed on its own line in Output with duplicates removed; URLs must start with http:// or https://. Extract numbers works the same way and also picks up negative and decimal numbers such as -3.5.
How do I convert text to camelCase, snake_case or kebab-case?
Click the matching button; each line is converted separately. snake_case and kebab-case lower-case the line and turn spaces and camelCase humps into underscores or hyphens. camelCase splits the line into words at spaces, punctuation and existing humps, lower-cases the first word and capitalises the others with the rest of each word in lower case, so HELLO WORLD becomes helloWorld.
Does Base64 encoding work with accents and emoji?
Yes. Encode Base64 converts the text to UTF-8 first, so accented letters and emoji round-trip correctly with Decode Base64. If the input is not valid Base64, the output shows Invalid Base64 string. All operations run in your browser.
