Frequently asked questions
How do I compare two lists?
Enter one item per line in List A and List B. The four result boxes update instantly: Intersection (A ∩ B) shows items in both lists, A Only (A - B) and B Only (B - A) show items found in just one list, and Union (A ∪ B) combines all unique items. Clear empties both lists.
How do I find the difference between two lists?
Read the A Only (A - B) box for items in List A that are missing from List B, and B Only (B - A) for the reverse. Click Copy above a box to copy its items, one per line.
Is the list comparison case sensitive?
Not by default: Apple and apple count as the same item, and results are shown in lowercase. Tick Case Sensitive Comparison to treat different capitalization as different items and keep the original case.
How are duplicates, spaces and empty lines handled?
Spaces at the start and end of each line are trimmed, empty lines are ignored and duplicates are removed, so each item appears at most once in every result. Items are separated by line breaks only, not by commas.
