Bildkompressor. Compress and resize batches of still JPG, PNG and WebP images locally. Compare output dimensions and file sizes, then download images or a ZIP. Use this image compressor to process up to 10 still JPEG, PNG or WebP images on your device.
Choose same-format output or PNG, JPEG or WebP, adjust quality for lossy formats and set a maximum width. The tool resizes proportionally without enlarging smaller images.
It uses your browser’s image codecs, so file size and appearance can vary between browsers. Each source image is limited to 20 MiB, 24 megapixels and 8,192 pixels per edge. Selected inputs and completed outputs are each limited to 50 MiB in total.
Processing stops after 30 seconds per file; cancel retains completed results. GIF, SVG, AVIF, HEIC, animated PNG and animated WebP are not supported. Export still images to JPEG, PNG or WebP before using this tool. Check the actual output before sharing.
In manual quality mode, requested format changes and resizes are honored even when output grows. Target mode offers only output within the chosen byte limit.
Same-format images that do not need resizing retain their original bytes if re-encoding is not smaller. Retained originals include their metadata.
Re-encoded files do not copy source EXIF; orientation follows the browser decoder, and colors or profiles may change. JPEG replaces transparency with white.
Processing does not upload images or persist them in browser storage; ads make separate network requests. Continue with Images to PDF after reviewing the results.
Häufig gestellte Fragen
How do I compress an image to 50 KB, 100 KB or 200 KB?
Choose Fit a file-size limit and select a preset or enter a custom limit. One KB means 1,000 bytes. Set output format, maximum width and quality range, then process. Downloadable results are checked against the exact byte limit. Inspect dimensions and readability before submitting to a portal.
What if the target size cannot be reached?
No oversized download is presented as success. Reduce maximum width or minimum quality, choose JPEG or WebP, or increase the limit and retry. Dimensions are not reduced beyond your width setting automatically. PNG ignores quality settings. The bounded search does not guarantee a result or the highest possible quality.
How do I compress several images?
Choose up to 10 still JPG, PNG or WebP files, set output format, quality and maximum width, then process. Compare each result and download individual images or a ZIP. Files are limited to 20 MiB each, 50 MiB per batch and 24 megapixels.
Why is my output larger?
JPEG fills transparency with white. In manual quality mode, a requested format or resize is kept even if the file grows. Target mode rejects results over your byte limit. With Same as input and no resize, the smaller original is kept when re-encoding does not help. Animated images and other formats are not supported.
Does quality affect PNG?
Quality applies to JPEG and WebP. PNG ignores this setting; resize it or choose another format to reduce size.
Are animated images supported?
No. Animated PNG and WebP are rejected so frames are not silently lost. GIF and other unsupported formats must be processed in an animation-aware editor.
What happens to transparency, orientation and metadata?
PNG and WebP can retain transparency; JPEG fills it with white. The browser decoder applies image orientation. Re-encoding does not copy source EXIF or other metadata, but colors and profiles may change. A kept original is byte-for-byte unchanged and retains metadata. Inspect important outputs in an image viewer.
Are my images uploaded?
Images are processed locally without uploading them or saving them in browser storage. Ads make separate network requests. Clear the queue or leave this page to release the results.
